Temporary road closure information from Wiltshire Council

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984   Temporary Closure of: A350 (Part) West End, Westbury (Ref: TTRO 5442)

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: 

A350 (Part) West End, Westbury; from its junction with B3097 Station Road to its junction with Market Place.

To enable: Wessex Water to replace/rebed a manhole cover and frame.

Alternative routes: 

HGVs: via A350 (unaffected length) – A36 – A361 – A363 – A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

All other traffic: via B3097 Station Road – C390 Rosefield Way – C390 The Mead – A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

The closure and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. 

This Order which previously came into operation on 12 March 2017 will now recommence on 15 July 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day between the hours of 09.00 and 15.00. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
