PART-TIME Administration Assistant

We require an enthusiastic administrator for our busy office. You must be organised and have excellent communication & IT skills. Finance knowledge is desirable.

Within this role, you will be responsibility for a variety of administration tasks, for example:

  • First point of contact for the public, answering the phone and dealing with issues raised. Signposting to colleagues and other agencies

  • To work with a small team undertaking administrative duties in order that the office runs smoothly and resources are available at all times

  • Opening and distributing post, preparing mail for posting

  • Provide administrative support to the Town Clerk and officers

  • Finance duties, to include assisting with purchase orders, petty cash and banking

  • Help prepare agendas, attend meetings to take minutes.

Salary: Local Government Scale 3 £17,072 to £17,772 pro rata

Hours: 30 per week – Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri

Closing date: Friday 9th June 2017.
