Notice of Co-option of Councillors

Following the uncontested elections, Westbury Town Council is quorate and does have a sufficient number of councillors. However, the Town Council has up to seven vacancies to fill, with vacancies in each ward. At the Annual Town Council meeting on Monday 15th May 2017 the Council agreed to advertise to co-opt using the power of the Representation of the Peoples Act 1985, Section 21a).

If you are interested in becoming a councillor and the serving the community, applications are being invited until Monday 29th May, with interviews and voting taking place at a Full Town Council meeting on Monday 12th June.
